So far so good.


About a month into the new year and I have religiously been attending my Zumba classes and teaching every Tuesday night. However still haven't dropped any weight. I believe I've gained some muscle mass now though because people tell me I look better.

I just wanted to write this post because today I went to the doctor and they took my blood pressure and for the first time in a couple years it is normal! No more high blood pressure! So happy!

I'm back!

Okay okay I'm sorry it's been so long! The semester started and things went nuts!! Sadly I gained a few lbs. back. Dangit! It is so hard to maintain. I wasn't exercising like I should have and was too stressed to even care about eating right. Well the good news is I have my gym membership back and I'm ready to back full force! During the summer I got down to 166 and right now I'm sitting at about 173. So I need to work my tusher off! Literally! My goal weight is anywhere between 140-150. I think I can do it. RIght?

I love teaching dance!

Teaching Dance these past 6 or so months has been incredible! It's also helped me to lose weight and I love my dancers. I love seeing them learn and improve while having fun! We are getting ready to go perform in DISNEYLAND! Yay!

Things I Love About Life Right Now

1. I have lost 21 Pounds
2. I am now certified to teach Zumba
3. I am surrounded by some really awesome friends and family
4. I have made a ton of new friends over the past few months
5. I am developing my talents in photography and videography
6. Starting my own business with my husband
7. Love my puppy!
8. Love my Ferrets!
9. Getting more active at church
10. FINALLY gaining back my self confidence!

So the past month has been crazy! I turned 26!!! Holy Cow! And we went on vacay and it was hard to get back on track. But regardless, I still have lost a couple pounds this month. I can honestly say that for the first time in a few years I am actually happy with my life. I hope all of this keeps up!

I have a lot of people asking about Zumba. I will be starting a Zumba class very soon! Please stay tuned! I would love it for you to come and dance with me!

Verging on 20

Hey Ya'll!

I know I know it's been over a month... but hear me out! First it was bronchitis, then strep. But the good news is I still lost weight despite not working out as much. I had a hard time telling myself that it was okay to rest. But now I'm having a hard time getting back into my groove.

So I'm really excited that on May 6th I will get to go be certified to teach my VERY OWN ZUMBA CLASS! Woo Hoo! I can't tell you how happy I am that I found an exercise that I LOVE and works for me. I'm really excited to teach and hope you guys will join the party too.

So here ya go... current weight is 171.5. That means 2.5 more lbs til I can say "I've lost 20 pounds!" My goal weight would ideally be 140-145. I weighed about 148 when I started dating my hubby Jonathan and I felt great at that weight.

This month was a lot of fun because I got to do ALUMNI for Dance Co. Every year at Murray High's Dance co concert the alumni of dance co. can come back and do a dance, and this year was hip hop to Usher's "More"! It was lots of fun to do, and I always love getting to know new girls and getting to hang out with old friends. I can't say I rock at hip hop, but I don't suck either.








Today I went to my very first Zumba Master Class with Wally and Camillo. It was really fun, I've never been in a room with so many people doing Zumba. In fact I almost wanted to strangle the guy that cut right in front of me in the middle of the class. But other than that it was a blast! 1.5 hours of Zumba, it actually turned out to be more like 2 hours.

I'm really enjoying fitting back into some old jeans. I know I have a long way to go, but I'm already feeling better and more confident. I've lost so much confidence the past few years and felt depressed, which is probably the reason I gained so much weight! I'm just glad I'm taking control before it got REALLY bad. I'm really grateful to my great Zumba instructors Shab and Victoria for making their classes so much fun, to Jonathan for putting up with the lack of junk in the house, and to my good friends and family for their positive words of encouragement.
